Weekend Getaway!

On Friday morning we left town and dropped the kids off in Tyler. Travis and I drove to Grapevine for a weekend to ourselves! It was so nice being able to enjoy good food and good conversation, sleep in, go to two movies in one day, and pretty much do whatever we wanted!

Sunday afternoon my parents drove to Grapevine with the kiddos and the Hoovers also met us up there. We checked in to Great Wolf Lodge for 2 days of fun. Great Wolf Lodge is a hotel that also has an indoor waterpark. The Hoovers had seen commercials for it and decided that is how they wanted to celebrate Will's birthday. So Papa and Gram decided we all should go! We celebrated Will's birthday and Mother's Day. In fact the boys treated us girls to massages at the spa. It was heavenly and probably my favorite part of the trip! The older boys had so much fun, but I have also never seen such tired little boys! We all had a great time. The last night we were there the "bigger kids" went to the waterpark after we put the little boys to bed. Gram babysat so we could all enjoy the slides. The only downside was Cooper did not sleep well either night, but the last night was especially bad. Travis and I were completely exhausted and decided we should have done the weekend in reverse. We sure would love to get to sleep in tomorrow, but it's back to reality! Thanks Gram and Papa for a fabulous weekend!

SPLASH!

Will "riding" the jet ski

Cooper didn't really go for the water because it was a little chilly so he spent most of his time being held on the sides or being carried around the toddler pool area.

Tyler and Reese slid down this slide a thousand times together!

Dinnertime!

Tyler taking a break from the water. Doesn't he look so old in this picture and just like his cousin Cade?

On the way home today! WIPED OUT!
