Tyler Slept through the night!!!

Last night Tyler slept through the night!!! It was amazing and I look forward to many more nights of him sleeping through. I put him down around 10:30 and I heard him stirring around 5:30 but it sounded like he was settling himself down. I went upstairs to check on him thinking I was going to have to feed him, but by the time I got upstairs to his room he was sound asleep. So I decided to see how long he would sleep. I was pretty sure by the time I got back downstairs I would hear him crying but he ended up sleeping until 6:45!!!! I was shocked. So really he slept from 10:30 until 6:45 without any feeding or help from us! WOW! He is doing really well. He is smiling a lot and loves to look at new faces of people who come to visit. We are traveling to Tyler on Thursday so we will see how the car ride goes!

First Smiles! :)

Tyler is starting to smile! He is actually starting to smile in reaction to us, but his favorite thing to do is smile at the ceiling fans and the picture frames above his changing table.
Sarah has the most to smile about though, because Tyler is almost sleeping through the night!!! He slept from about 10:15 until 5:30!!! I woke up at 5:20 and thought something was wrong because he had not woken me up yet. I went in to check on him and he was snoozing away! Mom and Christine also helped me figure out how to get him down during the day for naps. This morning he took his entire 1.5 hour nap! I'm so proud and so happy because I'm getting more sleep! Hopefully he will continue to stretch out his night even more!

Will & Papa's Birthday Weekend

Sarah's family was in town to celebrate Will and Papa's birthday. We all had a good time and it was also nice to have some help with Tyler. It was a little wild with three kiddos. Our family sure is changing.

Will got a big bubble wand from us and Papa made big bubbles for him in the driveway.

Daddy & Tyler

We had Travis give Tyler a bottle last week to see if he would take it. It was a success which means Sarah has more freedom!!!

Nap Time

Tyler is a very good sleeper at night. The past two nights he has slept from 10:30 until around 4! Praise the Lord! I hope this means that I will be getting more sleep in the near future! He isn't a very good nap taker yet. We are working on that right now. This picture was taken after he finally went to sleep for his nap only to have to be woken up 20 minutes later to eat.

Oink Oink!

We just got back from the Pediatrician and Tyler now weighs a whopping 10 lbs. 2 oz. He definitely likes to eat. Hopefully this means he will be sleeping through the night sooner than later. The other night he slept from 10:30 until 3. I fed him and then he slept from 3:30 until 7! Travis' alarm went off and I thought that something was wrong because he had been waking up around 5:30-6 every morning after the middle of the night feeding. We have learned that Tyler has inherited his Dad's gas! Everytime he wakes up from a nap he relieves himself for a few minutes!!! He even showed the nurse this morning his abilities. He is definitely a Johnson! :)

Tyler is 1 month old!

Here are the latest pictures of Tyler. They were taken yesterday and today. He goes for his one month checkup with the Pediatrician on Wednesday. He has to get some immunizations during that visit and I have a feeling he isn't going to like it!

Tummy Time

Tyler was practicing lifting his head while on his stomach. Look at how good he is doing! We found out at the Pediatrician that Tyler has Gastroesophageal Reflux which is basically acid reflux in infants. She said it is pretty common in babies. As a result he hiccups all the time and occasionally gags and projectile vomits after eating. She said they usually outgrow it and it usually gets a lot better after they can sit up on their own. I think I made the mistake of putting him on his tummy too soon after he ate because after this tummy time he threw up all over the place. I guess I will have to be more careful with tummy time in the future.
