9 Months!

Cooper is 9 months and growing like a weed. He weighs in at 2o lbs. 7 ounces (50th percentile) and is 29 inches long (90th percentile). He is really starting to show more of his personality and is becoming a happier baby. He isn't always whining and crying to be held, but don't get me wrong, we still have our moments! This month he has hit some milestones such as clapping, pulling up, crawling, and babbling- he says baba and dada. He loves being outside just like his brother. My favorite thing about Cooper is his gorgeous eyes and crazy hair. We have people laugh at his hair on a daily basis!

Look mama, I can pull myself up!

I'm going to drive the ladies wild with my gorgeous blue eyes and tan skin!

2 Years!

Today I took both of the boys to the doctor for their well baby visits. It was a little crazy trying to wrangle two kiddos in diapers- weighing, measuring, and having the nurse administer shots, but we survived! Tyler is now weighing in at 30 pounds and stands at 34 3/4 inches tall (75% for both). Tyler is bringing in his 3rd year of life by mastering the temper tantrum. They are lovely and he has yet to discover that they aren't going to help him get his way. Oh well, he will learn soon enough. Here are some cute pictures from the past couple of weeks.

Tyler loves to slide!

Riding his tricycle- he still hasn't figured out how to use the pedals!

Tyler loves playing in the sandbox!

Riding in the Jeep is probably his favorite outside activity right now.

More Birthday Festivities

This past weekend we had a family birthday party for Tyler. We were at the park and it was unusually cold in the shade. He had a blast this weekend, especially since both of his Papa's were in town. He was VERY sad when he woke up from his nap on Sunday afternoon and both of them were gone. He has had a lot of fun playing with all of his new toys.

Tyler throwing rocks in the lake- one of his favorite things to do!

The Kids Have Taken Over

Unfortunately it is becoming a tradition in our family to be sick on or around Tyler's birthday. And not just sick- throwing up sick. The year Tyler was born a lot of our extended family had the stomach virus. People that even came to the hospital to visit us ended up sick the next day. Luckily our immediate family was spared. Last year we went to Broken Bone Ranch for Easter and Tyler's birthday. The birthday boy even had it last year and we think spread it to several other people.

Well, Tuesday night during the middle of the night I felt horrible and couldn't sleep. I finally started throwing up around 6 am. We got Tyler out of bed and he had thrown up and Travis wasn't far behind. Tyler bounced back quickly, not really ever showing signs of being sick. But Travis and I have not bounced back so quickly. We were quite pathetic yesterday switching off to take care of the kids while the other one slept. Luckily we felt worse at different times so we were able to help each other. We are feeling better today, but still very weak. We think it was from something we ate Tuesday night because we all got sick around the same time. I was so scared that it was the cupcakes I gave to all of the kids on Tyler's birthday, but luckily none of the kiddos that were over here got sick. So here are some pictures of what happens when the parents aren't feeling so well. The kids quickly start taking over the house.

The gameroom

The stairs- Tyler started throwing balls over the rail yesterday and I tried to get him to stop but I felt too weak to discipline. Oh well.

The foyer- this is all the stuff that Tyler decided needed to be thrown over the railing.

Tyler turned 2 on Tuesday! I can't believe my baby boy is 2. Anyway, Tyler had a great day on Tuesday (Wednesday was a different story- I'll share on the next post). Here are some pictures from the day.

Daddy made waffles for the birthday boy!

Tyler went to Mother's Day Out on Tuesday and I surprised him with an Elmo balloon when I picked him up.
