Gag 'Em

It is 11:42 on Saturday night and I just watched my beloved aggies squeak by the vaunted Army football team. Why do I torture myself watching every game? Why do I keep getting excited about the team when they beat up on U La La? Why do I think next year is going to be any better because the new recruits are going to be so much better? These are all good questions. I don't have a good answer except that I am a guy and an Aggie football fan. I will be subject to a life of torture and unbelievable heartache for the rest of my life.
Stop watching or caring so much you say? Oh, I am afraid it's not that easy my friend. This is the life that I have chosen as an Aggie football fan. What a wonderful life it is!!!!

Maybe A&M will win a national championship in Tyler's lifetime because it sure doesn't look like it will happen in mine.

5 months!

Tyler is 5 months old today! I seriously cannot believe that he is five months old. So in honor of his 5th month I decided I would write my top 5 favorite things about my little boy and 5 things new mom's have to be thankful for.

Favorite things about Tyler
1. I love his precious smile that can melt my heart so easily.

2. I love his crazy pterodactyl sounds that he makes when you lift him high above your head.

3. I love his sweet personality and that he wakes up happy.

4. I love that he snorts when he cries! Have you ever heard such a thing?

5. I love that he lights up when he sees Travis come in the room. Last night Tyler was starting to fuss because it was close to bedtime. Travis came inside after mowing the lawn and Tyler just smiled for 5 minutes and laughed at his daddy.

Things to be Thankful For
1. Grandparents who buy clothes, toys, and are always willing to babysit!

2. Sisters, friends, and moms who are willing to share advice or just listen when you are frustrated and at the end of your rope.

3. Naptime! Sometimes you just need a break!

4. Spray N' Wash! This is my new best friend. Sometimes after an explosive diaper you think it would be better to just throw the clothes away, but Spray N' Wash saves the day!

5. Your precious baby!

Rockin' & Rollin'

Tyler is on the verge of crawling. He gets high up on his knees and rocks back and forth and then face dives into the carpet to move himself forward. He has learned how to roll from his back to his tummy and since he mastered that he spends very little time on his back. He loves being on his tummy and playing. I think he is going to be a very active little boy. I'll put him down for a nap and all he wants to do is rock and roll. I guess I will be getting more exercise very soon when he starts crawling and I have to chase him around the house!

Weekend at the Lake

Over Labor Day Weekend we went to Lake LBJ with Ross and Kim. Kyle and Rachel met us up there and we all spent the weekend at the lake. Tyler had a lot of fun and got to experience the lake for the first time. He loves the water a lot, but Crockett probably loves it more! Thanks to the Juds for letting us stay at their lakehouse!
The boys went fishing and caught some delicious bass. (I'm pretty sure those aren't bass, but I don't know what they are so I thought I give a shout out to Napoleon Dynamite)

Eating Machine!

Tyler is an eating machine! He absolutely loves to eat which I believe he must get from his daddy. I can barely get the next bite ready before he has his mouth open for the next bite. I gave him some squash yesterday and he gobbled right up. I'm going to give him Sweet potatoes in a couple of days. I can't wait to see how big he has gotten at his next doctor's appointment.

2012

It's time for our recap of 2012!  This year has brought some major answer to prayers and we have seen the hand of God move in incredible...
