Coop

I got a new camera for my birthday and have been playing around with it the last couple of days. It takes great pictures, but I'm still trying to figure everything out. Here are some fun pics of Cooper this week.

Classic Cooper- This picture pretty much sums up my week!

This is Cooper's sweet side. It's one extreme or the other with this boy!

Trip to Virginia!

This past week we traveled with my parents to Virginia to visit my sister and her family. We left bright and early on Monday morning and came home Saturday evening. Unfortunately last Saturday before we left I came down with a stomach bug and wasn't feeling that great. And even worse is I must have carried the bug with us because Christine's entire family got sick! All three of her boys were sick although Will and Reese seemed to recover quickly. Poor little Luke was having a hard time getting over it and was still sick when we left. My mom called to check on us on Sunday to make sure none of us had gotten sick because Christine and Kyle both got sick after we left! But inbetween all of the sickness we did manage to have fun! We celebrated Tyler's 3rd birthday while we were there, remodeled two of the Hoover's bathrooms, had a girls shopping day, and played a lot of rockband! The boys had way too much fun and it's probably a miracle that we didn't have any trips to the ER while we were there. Will, Reese and Tyler shared a room while we were there and were caught red handed jumping from Reese's bed to Tyler's air mattress while they should have been sleeping! They all played well together and really didn't have to many quarrels between them. Thanks mom and dad for a great trip!

Tyler riding the park and ride bus to the airport. They got to ride the bus, the train to a different terminal, and the airplane all in one day! A 3 year old boys dream come true!!!

When you have a 21 month old kid in your lap for 3 hours you get a little bored! We had some fun with the peel and stick stickers!

Tyler and Gram reading Curious George on the plane.

The Hoover's have a bounce house for their church and so we pulled it out a couple of days for the boys to let out some energy!

Tyler and Will jumping!

Align CenterWe headed over to Chuck E. Cheese for Tyler's birthday celebration. Travis was supposed to be helping Cooper play games and this is what I found- Travis playing a video game and Cooper watching. I thought Chuck E. Cheese was for kids?

Cooper LOVED the pizza! I think he ate more pieces of pizza than I did!

Pooper!

Pooper- This is how Cooper says his name. It cracks us up. Cooper is getting so big and is developing a big personality as well. Here are some sweet pictures my Dad got of Cooper while he was in Tyler.

I'm on a boat!

Travis here with one of my rare forays into the blogging world. Tim and I took a charter out of Quepos one day and had a great time. We went about 40 miles out and ended up boating 4 sailfish and had about 10 come up in our spread. It was the first time Tim had gone billfishing and he seemed to like it. If nothing else he liked the fresh pineapple and the Imperial cerveza. We had a really good crew which was a change from a lot of the other charters I have been on.It was a great time seeing sailfish and dolphins jumping out of the water everywhere and huge manta rays cruising around. It was hot out there, but the refreshments were cold. Puro Vida!

Costa Rica

Here are some more pictures from our trip to Costa Rica! We spent most of our time at the beach, but a couple of days we stayed at the hotel and hung out at the pool. At the main beach in Quepos they have a ton of vendors lined up at the street selling jewelry, sundresses, ceramics, towels, etc. Ashley and I went one morning and found some fun stuff. Vendors will even walk the beaches trying to sell their goods which can get annoying, but it provided some great entertainment as well!

The food was somewhat interesting, but we ended up finding some good places and our favorite we hit up twice. It was more expensive than what we expected, but we were also in a very touristy area.

The guys went sail fishing one day while Ashley and I shopped and hit the spa. Travis will have to blog about their fishing trip.

Overall it was a great trip and we rank it up there with our honeymoon. It was definitely full of relaxation and no worries which is what we were craving. We definitley missed the boys, but we know they were well taken care of and definitely spoiled by my parents. Thanks mom and dad for watching the boys!!!

If the guys weren't exploring or fishing, they were found in the shade reading...

while the girls were soaking up the sun!

Ready to go out for dinner.

Me buying one of many snowcones I had at the beach. They were delicious and it was refreshing on those hot Costa Rican beaches. They would make a regular snowcone and then pour sweetened leche on top. Hmmmm!

A view of the main beach in Quepos.

Tim and Ashley at our farewell dinner!

Tim and Ashley's meal at the first restaurant we ate at. UGH!!! We quickly discovered that Costa Rican's leave the heads on fishes and the legs on shrimp. If you know me, you know this totally grossed me out!

This lady would carry this tupperware container on her head for hours yelling, "Cheeecken Empenadas!" She would start around 10:00 in the morning and wouldn't stop until late afternoon. I'm not quite sure how fresh they were and how often her tupperware container was restocked.

Front of the hotel.

The view from the pool was magnificent.

On the way to the hotel from the airport the driver stopped over this bridge known as "Crocodile Bridge". There were tons of crocodiles in this river and the driver said they will eat cows and big animals (or spectators) that get too close!
