Trip to Harlingen

This afternoon we returned from our trip to Harlingen for Christmas. The whole Johnson clan was in Harlingen for Christmas and we got together as much as possible while we were there. We all had a good time and I have over 100 pictures to prove it! I will spare you the 100 pictures, but I will share a few. We ended up staying for 9 days partly because Cooper was very sick (more on that later) and also because we rarely get to see The Hortons and Stockers and other extended family members. We really enjoyed getting to see everyone and watching Tyler play with his cousins. The boys were spoiled rotten the whole time we were there and on Christmas Day. Lets just say Tyler learned a new word while we were there- "Cookie"! I think we will have a couple of days of detoxing him from the grandparents (and the sugar).

While we were in Harlingen the boys went fishing, hunting, and golfing. Tyler actually went with the boys to play golf and quail hunting (he said in the truck with Papa and the Oreos!). He was a trooper probably because he was outside the whole time. Tyler also got to ride the big tractors at the farm! This is every little boys dream!!! He loved every minute of it. Tyler also loved going outside to pick tangerines off the trees to eat them. He ate so many tangerines while we were there and Papa sent a bag home for him to eat.

The girls also got some free time. We went shopping a couple of times and played games. I'm pretty sure Uncle Charlie doesn't want any kiddos anytime soon after helping the other guys watch their kids!

Anyway, we had a great Christmas despite the fact that Cooper got really sick on Christmas Day. He had been congested since last Wednesday, but on Christmas Day he was miserable and was having a hard time breathing. He was either crying or sleeping and wouldn't eat hardly anything. It was very sad and he missed most of Christmas. The next day (after a long, hard night for all of us) Travis' mom made a doctor's appointment for him and after waiting 2 hours in the waiting room he was diagnosed with Bronchiolitis. We had another long, hard night but Grandma and Papa Johnson stayed up with him most of the night and let us try to get some rest. I know I said many prayers for him that night and I'm pretty sure Grandma and Papa lifted him up as well. I really appreciate all that they did to help us with Cooper during those couple of days. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have made it without any help. Thankfully he started feeling better that next day and we started to see some more smiles from him. Unfortunately I think he passed on what he had to his cousin Shelby who is only 3 1/2 months old. Hopefully she won't be as bad as he was.

Tyler and his cousin Cade. Cade was so great with Tyler and was really nice to him the whole time we were there.

Cooper and his cousin Shelby. They are 7 weeks apart. Cooper is older despite the fact that Shelby looks and probably is bigger! This may have been the passing of the germs! Sorry Shelby!

Bailey in her "Princess Dress". Every morning she would be to wear this dress. She is definitely a girly girl!

Papa, Travis and I took Cade, Bailey, and Tyler to the Brownsville Children's Museum. Here is Tyler riding the tractor at the Museum. I'm sure you haven't figured out that Tyler LOVES tractors!

You got some really good pictures at Christmas. I love the one with Shelby and Cooper. Cooper is looking at her like she is crazy! haha...Shelby is doing pretty good. You can hardly tell she is sick. I hope it stays that way. I am glad Cooper is feeling better. Ross is much more sick than Shelby. We are pretty much a bunch of bums today. Hope to see y'all again soon.

2012

It's time for our recap of 2012!  This year has brought some major answer to prayers and we have seen the hand of God move in incredible...
